Rita Lewandowski holds a Masters Degree in Piano Performance from University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Her graduate study and performance recital were completed under the supervision of Ian Hobson, renowned recording artist who has won several international awards.

Rita Lewandowski holds a combined Bachelors Degree in Music Education and Piano Performance from University of Evansville. She studied under Gregory Davis who was taught by Igor Stravinsky's son. Stravinsky was a pupil of Franz Liszt.
